Description
1. Introduction
The ES660 series is a state-of-the-art, automated testing solution engineered to meet the rigorous reliability demands of modern, complex integrated circuits (ICs). Delivering a comprehensive suite of testing capabilities – including Human Body Model (HBM), Machine Model (MM), Latch-Up (LU), and Transient Latch-Up (TLU) – the ES660 significantly outperforms previous generations in capacity, speed, and signal integrity. The ES660 has a higher specification compared to the previous solution of ES612A + RE64 relay expansion module / ES660-P1-EM1 ATE expansion module.
Designed with a highly modular and future-proof architecture, the ES660 helps semiconductor labs eliminate bottlenecks when evaluating large-scale devices, reducing overall test time while ensuring uncompromising accuracy.
Key Architectural Advantages:
Massive Scalability: The ES660-P1 configuration easily handles complex ICs from 128 up to 1280 pins (10 buses). For extreme pin-count demands, the ES660-P2 upgrade unlocks a high-density motherboard supporting up to 2560 pins and 12 buses.
High-Voltage Design: Upgraded DC buses (rated up to 800+ V) and ESD/leakage paths (rated up to 1200+ V) robustly support advanced HV DC and Latch-up stress testing (e.g., up to ±300 V LU bias).
2. Features
- Extreme Expansion Capacity: Highly flexible configuration scales seamlessly from 128 to 2560 pins and 1 to 12 buses
- Industry-Leading Stress Specs: Unlocks powerful testing limits including 10 kV HBM, 4 kV MM, 300 V / 1A DC & LU stress, and 1100 V SMU leakage detection
- Ultra-Low Parasitic Hardware: Relay-based architecture strictly meets JS-001 2017 (Annex B4) and 2024 (Annex C5 N=9) low-parasitic requirements
- Blazing Fast Test Speeds: Drastically cuts testing time for high pin-count devices with 10 to 15 pins/second throughput (20+ P/S currently in development)
- Oscilloscope-Free Waveform Visualization: Synchronously measure and save up to 16 channels of LU Voltage and Current waveforms (including Stress and DC buses) directly in the system. No external oscilloscope is required, significantly streamlining hardware setup and post-test failure analysis
- Fully Integrated Thermal Control: Eliminate complex external hardware setups with a seamlessly integrated thermal forcing module. Monitor and set temperatures directly within the test software, which automatically triggers the test sequence the moment the target temperature is reached (Options: RT to 200°C or -15°C to 200°C)
- Comprehensive Standard Coverage: A single unified platform fully compatible with all major industry standards for HBM, MM, LU, and TLU(TLP/EOS/Surge) testing
- Smart LU Preconditioning: Optional multi-protocol preconditioning module enables complex, interactive IC state-setting during dynamic LU tests
- Intuitive Touch Interface: Built-in 14-inch touchscreen provides instant visualization of test pr ogress, system conditions, and real-time alerts
3. Applications
